A sloppy, wintry day, Thursday
ELKHART, Ind. -- The City of Elkhart is celebrating the 40th annual Rhapsody Arts and Music Festival.
The festival began on Friday at Island Park in Downtown Elkhart and will continue to feature some great entertainment and fun for the whole family throughout the weekend.
The community will get to enjoy unique art, crafters, local musicians, food and entertainment.
Patrick O’Brien is a vendor who traveled all the way from Detroit to sell his gourmet candy.
“I like coming here, I like the people. I like to talk to people. I like to have a long line but I don’t because then I can’t talk to everybody,” O’Brien said.
The schedule for the weekend of fun is as follows:
Friday, June 7
Hours: Food vendors open at noon, other activities scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Cost: $2.00 per person, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 8
Hours: Activities scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Cost: $2.00 per person, beginning at noon
Sunday, June 9
Hours: Activities scheduled from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Cost: Free admission all day
