Registration now open for Elkhart Virtual School for grades 6 through 12
Elkhart Community Schools ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Community Schools is launching the Elkhart Virtual School, a tuition-free program for grades 6 through 12, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
The Elkhart Virtual School is designed for students who need a different learning environment to feel successful and supported, including those balancing work or family responsibilities.
"This is not an alternative—it’s another opportunity for students to succeed," says Principal Bryan Hammontree. "Our program offers high-quality instruction and the flexibility many students need to thrive, while maintaining access to expert, Indiana-licensed teachers for regular support."
As part of the enrollment process, families will complete a required orientation to ensure they understand technology requirements and participation expectations. Students are expected to stay engaged and commit to at least one full semester in the program.
Registration is now open for Indiana residents seeking a flexible academic environment. For more information or to apply, visit the Elkhart Community Schools website
