Pulaski County Police K-9 involved in two vehicle crash

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. -- A Pulaski County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit vehicle was struck on State Road 39 by a vehicle traveling southbound.

The crash occurred while traffic was being directed at 600 North and State Road 39 due to the highway closure.

The driver of a southbound traveling SUV failed to yield to emergency warning lights when it struck the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit vehicle, where both an officer and K-9 Tiko were inside.

The driver of the SUV, who is suspected of being intoxicated, is currently detained pending the outcome of the investigation.
