Protest expected at Brandywine Board of Education meeting

A group that opposes any type of book banning in public school libraries will protest tonight during the Brandywine Board of Education meeting.

The board could vote tonight on a new policy regarding explicit materials in school libraries.

Protest organizers say a policy that required a parent signature and minimum age requirements to check out certain materials seemed like a good compromise and made sense for everyone.

They're concerned the board may vote to completely ban certain materials that many parents feel are not appropriate for children.

ABC57 will have a crew at the meeting tonight and we'll have a full report on ABC57 at 10 and 11.
