People began lining up for President Donald J. Trump's rally Wednesday evening. They were all excited to see the president in person in Elkhart.
A winding line of supporters filled the streets of Elkhart for President Trump.
“I think he’s been doing a good job overall. There’s some things I’m not happy with, but no president’s perfect," Charles Bronson said.
Signs of the president’s visit are all over the neighborhood – and discussions about how Trump is doing filled the air.
“Sometimes I wish he had a speechwriter – someone a bit more polished in public speaking," Kelly Kelley said.
The president is expected to discuss tax reform and the economy as part of his rally Thursday night.
“Last year the most money I’ve ever made in my life. Going to be 60. So that shows you the economy is going somewhere," Steven Coleman said.
Many of his supporters say they’re just excited to see the president in-person - acting like he always does.
“As his record has shown so far since he’s been in office, he’s done exactly what he told us he was going to do. And to me, that’s everything," Justin Potter said.
We spoke with supporters who came from Michigan, Illinois and Ohio to attend the rally.
