LAKE COUNTY, Ind. -- An autopsy report released Monday morning confirmed the grim details of an apparent murder/suicide Friday night in Gary.

Authorities say the call came in to Lake County 911 around 11:22 p.m. on May 16 of a crime scene with two dead bodies at 435 Clark Rd. in Gary.

The deceased female was identified by family on scene as 21-year-old Chasity Shorter. She was four months pregnant.

Forensic autopsy was completed on May 17 and determined the cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds with the manner of death being homicide.

The suspect was identified by family on scene as 21-year-old Brice Taylor.

Forensic autopsy confirmed the cause of death was a gunshot wound and the manner of death was suicide.
