ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Potato Creek is celebrating Indiana Archeology Month with crafts, food and local history this Saturday.
Archeology Day takes place at the Nature Center from 1 to 4 p.m.
Kids can create pinch pots, candles and coal burnt spoons. You can also be your very own archeologist and dig out arrowhead replicas or dig one out yourself. Sumac lemonade, potato stew made from foraged plants at the park, and peppermint tea will all be available for purchase.
The park is also will be providing historical information about the Potawatomi Tribe's impact with the area, the spring house, and the Porter Rea Cemetary.
