Get ready to drop a few more pennies on your next trip to the post office because prices are going up.

Some of the bigger changes you'll notice for first-class mail include a $0.03 price increase for post-card stamps which are currently $0.32 and a one-penny increase to $0.45 for standard 1-ounce letter stamps.

This is the first increase for the "Forever Stamps" in two-and-a-half years, however, you can still use the $0.44 Forever Stamps you currently have.

The new price increases could help the postal service's bottom-line. The agency is more than $9 billion in debt.
