Police respond to breaking and entering call at Marathon gas station

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office responded to a breaking and entering call Saturday at the Marathon Gas Station on Red Arrow Highway in Antwerp Township.

The call came in shortly after 6:00 a.m.

Van Buren Deputies reported that a store clerk was arriving for work and found that gas station had been broken into overnight.

Police say the suspects breached a cement block wall located at the rear of the store and were able to make access to the store through this hole in the wall.

The suspects allegedly broke into the store safe and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

No suspects have been identified at this time.

The incident is still under investigation.
