Police investing reports of shots fired at gas station

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Shots were fired during an altercation at the Pilot gas station on Tuesday, according to Benton Township Police.

Police were dispatched to the Pilot gas station on E. Napier Avenue for reports of shots fired.

When they arrived, they found evidence shots had been fired inside the store.

Two men approached the two victims, ages 17 and 18, and started a verbal confrontation, which led to the shooting, police said.

The victims were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
