UPDATE (4:33 p.m.): The victim has been identified in the homicide at the Best Western Motel as 44-year-old Anthony Korolis of Buchanan, Mich.
The Mishawaka PD will continue to follow up on the circumstances surrounding this death investigation.
This is said to be an isolated incident with no danger to the public.
ORIGINAL: MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police Department is investigating a homicide at the Best Western Motel off of University Drive.
Officers were called around 3:20 a.m. Monday to find a man shot dead inside of a room.
There are few details early on in the investigation, but police ask anyone who has more information to call the Mishawaka Police Detective Bureau at 574-258-1684 or contact Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
