One person dead after early morning house fire in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A house fire on the 16000 block of Valley Trail impacted traffic early Wednesday morning near Dragoon and Ireland Trail in Mishawaka with parts of Dragoon and Valley Trail blocked off.

The call came in at 2:03, according to county dispatch. They say the house was fully engulfed when crews arrived, and the fire was under control less than an hour later.

Mishawaka Fire confirmed that one person has died as a result of the fire.
