Police chase ends with crash in Cass County Monday morning

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A police chase early Monday morning ended in Cass County when the suspect crashed on Birch Road, near Chappel Hill Street in Cass County.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says the call came in at 12:57 a.m. on Dec. 16 when deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Hebron Road, near North River Road in Mottville Township for a motor vehicle violation.

The driver fled west into Cass County where deputies pursued the vehicle until it crashed on Birch Road.

A 37-year-old Constantine man was taken into custody on charges of Fleeing and Eluding Police, Operating with a Suspended License, as well as having multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants.

He was arrested and lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail.
