Heat and storm chances increasing this weekend
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect linked to a firearm theft.
It happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 19000 block of Sarah Street after a firearm was reported stolen.
Officers say the homeowner was alerted by the motion detected from his security camera.
Upon checking the footage, the homeowner reported seeing a person inside his vehicle.
He confirmed the suspect, describing him as a thin male wearing blue jeans and a light-colored hoodie.
The homeowner realized his firearm was gone only after the suspect ran away.
