Police arrested suspect allegedly involved in an armed bank robbery

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports that officers responded to a call for a bank robbery on the 4500 block of Western Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police say this case was later confirmed as an armed bank robbery.

Officers spotted a person who matched the suspect’s description and pursued the individual in a foot pursuit, police say.

Police say they arrested an adult man who was detained without additional problems.

This case currently remains under investigation.
