NILES, Mich.- Community members came out to Front Street Pizza in Niles on Sunday to take the Polar Plunge.
Residents were ready to support the Niles community and its projects, despite the plunge in outdoor temperatures.
The River Essence Group, a Niles non-profit that hosted the event, estimated they hit their goal of $15,000.
Funds raised at the Polar Plunge will go towards city projects in Niles.
