Plymouth man arrested for assaulting an officer with bodily waste

PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- Plymouth police arrested 34-year-old Joseph Azzam for outstanding warrants on Wednesday after they received a tip that Azzam was currently staying at a local hotel. 

Around 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 7, police went to the Economy Inn searching for Azzam and while they were in the area they witnessed Azzam's vehicle pulling out of the parking lot. 

After a traffic stop, Azzam was arrested for the active warrants for Domestic Battery, Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, and Battery by Bodily Waste to a public Safety Officer, all level six felonies.

Azzam was taken to the Marshall County Jail until he was picked up by Pulaski County.
