Parents upset over textbook content
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Parents in one Tennessee community are fighting to remove a textbook from school that they say promotes anti-Semitism.
The book that is causing all the uproar is in an AP Human Geography book.
It poses problem solving questions regarding Palestinian suicide bombers killing Israelis and questions if it is considered terrorism or an army action.
Parents are concerned that the information presented are factually inaccurate.
"With the anti-Semitic and the historically factually inaccurate information why would they be teaching this information to our students," said Laurie Cardoza Moore.
The school district said they have selected a committee to review the book before they will make a decision about removing it.
