Panera Bread hosts toy drive for Salvation Army Christmas assistance programs
Join eight Northern Indiana Panera Bread locations with providing toys for kids this holiday season.
In partnership with the Salvation Army, Panera Break kicked off a three-week toy drive, from November 27 to December 16, gathering new unwrapped toys for kids, infants through teens, which can be dropped off during business hours.
The Salvation Army's aim is to assist families hit hard by inflation, job loss or financial difficulties by providing toys under the tree and Christmas dinner on the table.
They want to relieve the extra financial burden from the holidays.
Major Marc Johnson, the Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Indiana Division, is grateful to Panera for providing this opportunity.
"With thousands of Hoosier families in need of help this Christmas, a toy drive like this can make a huge impact on our ability to meet the need in each community where we serve," said Johnson. "This is a season of joy, and each year The Salvation Army strives to bring that joy to as many of our neighbors in need as we can."
