UPDATE: Power restored to over 1,000 customers in Marshall County

UPDATE: According to poweroutage.us, Marshall County power has been restored to customers as of 5:48 p.m., Monday.

ORIGINAL STORY: MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- At least 1,017 customers are without power in Marshall County Monday afternoon according to the Marshall County Rural Electric Membership Cooperation.

REMC officials say this is due to a transmission-related outage outside of their control.

The outage is affecting customers from multiple electric companies.

The county REMC is working with the transmission provider to get power restored as soon as possible.

The provider has yet to identify the issue and has not estimated restoration time at the moment.
