One sent to hospital following two-vehicle crash in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of M-60 and M-40 in Newberg Township around 1 p.m. Friday.
The report states a vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Corey Chapman Jr. of Sunfield, Mich., was traveling south at the intersection.
Authorities say at the same time, a vehicle, driven by 64-year-old Darlene Tucker of Three Rivers, was traveling east at the intersection.
Deputies say that's when both entered the intersection at the same time, crashing into each other.
The vehicles came to a stop at the center of the intersection.
Chapman's passenger, 23-year-old Jakob Greenman of Sunfield, Mich., was taken to Three Rivers Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
The Newberg Fire Department also responded to the scene.
All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Deputies don't believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
