ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County Crash Investigation Team is investigating a crash on C.R. 5, south of C.R.2, involving two vehicles.

Dennis Crebbs was driving northbound on C.R. 5 in a Ford F450 as Jimmy Owen was traveling southbound in a Nissan Sentra with passengers Kerri Lyntz and Mildred Weiser.

Crebbs drove left of the center line into the southbound lane, Owen attempted to avoid the F450 but ultimately collided with the truck.

Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage.

Jimmy Owen and Kerri Lyntz were transported via ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for their injuries.

Mildred Weiser unfortunately passed away at the scene from her injuries.
