SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Coming off back-to-back losses, the Ivey believes #10 Notre Dame will be ready for the Longhorns Thursday evening.
Since the 74-61 over previously #3 USC, Notre Dame loss back-to-back in the Cayman Islands Classic, falling to TCU 76-68 and Utah 78-67.
"I think this team is going to respond. I think this week we had an opportunity to watch a lot of film. Yesterday, we had an incredible practice where we really focused on a lot of things that that fell short this past weekend and working on just getting back to work," Head Coach Niele Ivey said.
Notre Dame now holds a 5-2 overall record, getting ready for another big test against undefeated Texas.
"You know, you got to refocus recenter, working on discipline, defensively and all those things. So having a good practice and really focusing on the next task was, I think preparation was really good," Ivey added.
"Our defensive identity is the way that I want to play. So, coming out there, doing a great job defensively and then letting the offense flow from that, but for me, as a as their coach, we always talked about making sure that we're defensive minded. So, that's our level of focus coming in tomorrow (Thursday)." Ivey mentioned.
#10 Notre Dame vs #3 Texas, Thursday, 7 p.m. EST at Purcell Pavilion.
