NOW: Notre Dame women’s basketball now hold 14-0 record over Wake Forest

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- For the second straight game, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish women’s basketball never trailed — this time rolling past Wake Forest 78-54 on the road. The Irish are now 17-9 overall and gaining momentum at exactly the right time.

Notre Dame turned defense into offense all night – outscoring Wake Forest 27-0 in fast-break points. So basically, when the Irish run, they’re nearly impossible to slow down. This also keeps a winning streak alive — staying unbeaten by Wake Forest, holding the all-time series 14-0.

Hannah Hidalgo once again led the charge with a game-high 26 points – shooting 10-of-20 from the field and 3-of-4 from deep. She filled up the stat sheet too — five rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.

Meanwhile, KK Bransford delivered her strongest performance since returning from injury – scoring 13 points on an ultra-efficient 6-of-7 shooting. She added four rebounds, two steals and an assist — looking confident and aggressive.

Iyana Moore chipped in 11, Cassandre Prosper added 10, and Vanessa de Jesus set a career high with six steals as the Irish defense swarmed from start to finish.

Notre Dame improves to 9-6 in ACC play with just three regular-season games left. The road trip continues Sunday in Dallas against SMU with a tipoff set for 6 p.m. EST.
