SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team is back in the win column. After a tough trip to Atlanta and back-to-back losses, the Irish responded with a statement Atlantic Coast Conference win over Boston College, 94-60, at Purcell Pavilion.

Notre Dame looked sharper from the opening minutes and played with more pace and confidence than it did in a 14-point loss to Duke. The Irish had four players score in double figures and shot a season-high 65.4% from the field.

Cassandre Prosper led the way with one of the best games of her career. She finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds for her fifth career double-double. Prosper was one point and one rebound shy of matching her career highs in both categories.

Malaya Cowles added her best performance in a Notre Dame uniform, scoring a season-high 20 points with six rebounds.

Hannah Hidalgo and Iyana Moore each scored 16, giving the Irish four different players who could take over a possession and keep the offense moving.

Notre Dame was efficient across the board. Every Irish player who took a shot finished at 50% or better from the field. Notre Dame also shot 70% from 3-point range and 86.4% at the free-throw line.

The win continued a strong run for Notre Dame in the series with Boston College. The Irish are now 32-9 all-time against the Eagles and have won seven straight meetings.

After the game, coach Niele Ivey said the team’s focus has been on accountability and moving forward.

“Recognizing what we need to work on, being accountable for ourselves and the team and moving on,” Ivey said. “I feel like that’s been really great for us because we aren’t holding on to those losses.”

Notre Dame now heads into a challenging stretch with three straight games against ranked opponents. Ivey said the approach stays simple: one game at a time.
