Notre Dame partners with South Bend community to provide supplies for elementary school students

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame women’s basketball coaching staff will partner with many organizations within the city of South Bend to sponsor a community rally to provide backpacks, masks, and sanitizer to elementary school students.

The partnerships include members of the South Bend Common Council, School City of Mishawaka, the South Bend Community School Corporation, the city of South Bend Mayor’s Office, Venues, Parks & Arts, among many others.

The Community Rally will be at Howard Park on August 1st from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Venues, Parks & Arts will design the social distancing markers that will be used.

“Boomer” will also be present to provide music.

Masks are required at the event for everyone over the age of two.
