ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –– The Notre Dame hockey team secured a spot in this year's NCAA tournament, but the Irish could have just as easily been left out. Nevertheless, Notre Dame secured a bid to the tournament with a barely above-average record.
With only 14 wins, and 13 losses on the season, Irish coach Jeff Jackson said he wasn't sure Notre Dame would make the cut. Even so, the Irish were named one of the top-16 teams in the nation.
The Irish will take on Boston College on Saturday at 1p.m.
