Notre Dame gets the help they need on Championship Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57 Kickoff host, Vahid Sadrzadeh breaks down where the Irish will land come selection Sunday.

The College Football Playoff committee bumped Notre Dame to the #10 spot in last Tuesday's rankings. 

Notre Dame is right behind Alabama at the #9 spot and right in front of #11 BYU. 

 Notre Dame will need both of those teams to lose to have a shot to make the field of 12, when the College Football Playoff committee makes their final rankings on Dec. 7. 

First in the big 12 championship, Texas Tech runs away from BYU in the second half. 

Next up was Georgia and Alabama in the championship and it was all Bulldogs from the start. They led 14 to zero at the half and would go on to beat the tide 28 to seven. 

The debate all season has been who will get the final spot a two loss Notre Dame, a two loss Miami, who beat Notre Dame head-to-head, or a three loss Alabama, who just lost to Georgia in the SEC championship game? 

It will be a nervous wait until the selection show on Dec. 7.
