ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –– The defense was the shining star for the Notre Dame football in 2020. However, the team lost several key starters and their defensive coordinator from a year ago. Nevertheless, the Irish are embracing the new faces.
First-year Notre Dame defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman is known for being a players' coach. It's that style of coaching that has several Irish players excited to work with him in 2021.
