SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The sports world is still buzzing-over news of Coach Brian Kelly’s leaving Notre Dame and heading to Louisiana State University.
Irish fans said they were shocked to hear the news that Coach Kelly is leaving for another team.
One Notre Dame fan, Gabriel Atherton, said he thinks whoever replaces Kelly has big shoes to fill, and that may make or break Notre Dame’s chances at a winning 2021 season.
“I was surprised at first, but at the same time, I’ve never really cared for coach Kelly, so I could take it or leave it. It’s just going to be harder on the team next year unless they can find somebody as good or if not better than him.” Atherton said.
Although some Notre Dame fans aren’t quite sure how to feel about this bombshell career move just yet, others are calling it bittersweet.
