Finally feeling like fall
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57’s Blake Parker spent Thursday evening watching the Orange Bowl with fans at Corby’s Irish Pub. She spoke with the owner, Joe Mittiga, who said this has been a historic Notre Dame season.
“A tremendous success. You know, this guy, coach Freeman hasn’t been here that long and for this to be one of his signature seasons early on in his coaching career here, I think says a lot about him and a lot about the culture that he’s able to create over there, and it’s all good things,” said Mittiga.
After Notre Dame took the win against Penn State 27-24, Mittiga feels confident as the Irish head to the College Football championship on Jan. 20.
“I think they have a legitimate shot to beat anybody, on any given day. So, I wasn’t able to say that for a very long time, but I feel confident saying that now,” said Mittiga.
