Notre Dame beats Virginia 28-3

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virg. -- The Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat the Virginia Cavaliers Saturday night at Scott Stadium.

Notre Dame made a touchdown in the first quarter and followed the second quarter up with two touchdowns leaving the Cavaliers empty handed going into halftime 21-0.

The third quarter again saw no points scored by Virginia as the Irish made another touch down going into the fourth quarter making their win undeniable.

Although the Cavaliers managed to make a field goal late in the fourth, the night belonged to the Irish as they walked off the field 28-3.
