Notre Dame beats USC 31-16
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The fighting Irish beat USC 31-16 Saturday giving the rivalry between the two teams more fuel for the fire.
Notre Dame made the first touchdown of the game in the first quarter as USC left the quarter empty handed.
The second quarter started with the Irish and Trojans both making field goals but Notre Dame pulled ahead with another touchdown going into halftime 17-3.
The second half started as a repeat of the first quarter as Notre Dame made another touchdown leaving USC with nothing to show on the scoreboard with the third quarter wrapping up.
The fourth quarter definitely brought the excitement as the Trojans made two touchdowns in a row.
The Irish soon clapped back with a touchdown giving them an undeniable lead.
The lead would continue to be theirs as they closed out the game and continuing the USC rivalry 31-16.
