Notre Dame baseball coach named Coach of the Year

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has named Notre Dame baseball Coach Link Jarrett the Mike Martin National Coach of the Year.
Last season Jarrett was named D1Baseball's Coach of the Year.
The announcement was made Friday, the same day the team will play in its first College World Series game in 20 years.
The Irish won the Statesboro Regional, then knocked off Tennessee in Knoxville during the Super Regionals.
The Irish take on the Texas Longhorns at 7 p.m. Friday.
