NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. -- The North Webster Community Center hosted a free showing of the 1986 basketball film, "Hoosiers". Friday night.
The community center features several connections to the movie, namely its barrel-shaped roof, which draws close comparisons to the Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana, where "Hoosiers" was filmed.
Part of Friday's presentation included a Q and A session from Steve Hollar, a Warsaw native who played a significant role in the film.
Hollar enjoys speaking with small-town communities about his experiences with the filming process and hearing directly from people on how the classic film played a role in their lives.
With Friday's success, the community center fully intends to continue holding free movie nights as the summer approaches.
You can find out more information about the center here.
