Hungry for the Holidays
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Demonstrators all over the country participated in "No Kings" protests on Saturday, including some in Michiana.
The protests are in opposition to the Trump administration and DOGE.
Roughly 600 community members took to Main Street in Saint Joseph, Michigan to make their voices heard.
One of them was a 103-year-old activist who has been protesting since 1942.
"Well to the young people, I want to say, be aware of what's going on in your country," says Gloria Welberg, a 'No Kings' protestor. "Don't sit back and do nothing. Be as active as you possibly can and make sure that you keep this country democratic. It's not a hard job. It's a good job to be aware of the world around you, whether it's our country or other countries, take care of each other."
