Nicaraguan national sentenced for illegal use of social security number

Donald Obando-Obando SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana announced a 40-year-old citizen of Nicaragua and Goshen resident was sentenced after pleading guilty to Felony use of a False Social Security Number.
The man, identified as Donald Obando-Obando, was sentenced to time served and was ordered to pay $4,996.11 in restitution.
Case documents reveal Obando-Obando is in the US illegally and used another person's social security number to open a bank account and become employed.
