New Jersey Boardwalk reopens

BELMAR, N.J. -- The New Jersey Boardwalk reopened for the first time since Superstorm Sandy.

It was a major milestone in the road the recovery after the storm devastated the East Coast last fall.

"I even came here and saw it and it was pretty sad but now that it’s back together I’m glad we can get back on the beach," said Rebecca Goana.

The boardwalk was expected to take years to rebuild but Governor Chris Christie made sure the process was rapid and got it done in months.
