New gun control proposal spark sales
MISHAWAKA, Ind. — A local gun dealer said that the president's recently announced gun control plan has been good for business.
Many gun owners are cleaning out local gun shops and stocking up in case they can't get it in the future.
"There have been a lot more people coming in concerned about buying some items possibly because they might end up getting banned," said Rocco Rigsby of Midwest Gun Exchange. "We have seen a very large increase in people coming in wanting to buy firearms for their own personal protection use for themselves, for their family and their home."
President Obama's proposals need to clear the Republican controlled house where they'll no doubt face opposition.
