Three Rivers Menards hit by Tornado
MICHIGAN. -- More information of yesterday's storms in Southwest Michigan is being provided from the National Weather Service's Preliminary Storm report.
The tornado that impacted Union City, in Branch County, was confirmed to be an EF-3, with at least 150 mph winds estimated. There were three confirmed fatalities and 12 injuries.
The tornado in Three Rivers, in St. Joseph County, was confirmed to be an EF-2, with estimated at least 130 mph winds. There were zero fatalities and 10 injuries.
While there is little information about the intensity of the tornado in Edwardsburg, in Cass County, one fatality has been confirmed. Surveys will continue tomorrow with more details on the Edwardsburg storm.
