Narcotics unit searches a residence for sales and possession of Methamphetamine

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- Sheriff Daniel Abbott reports that the Van Buren Narcotics Unit investigated a Bloomingdale residence on Wednesday for sales and possession of Methamphetamine.

After serving a search warrant for the residence in the 400 Block of North Van Buren Street, the unit detained four adults while they searched for illegal narcotics, items related to drug sales, and evidence related to any other criminal activity, police say.

Police say they removed multiple pieces of evidence from the residence that will be further inspected and tested upon.

One of the four people detained was arrested and taken to Allegan County Jail for having several outstanding warrants, police say.

This case's investigation remains open as the narcotics unit awaits test results on the evidence that was found.
