A resident on Longfellow shared photos of the suspect being taken into custody.
Police conducted a traffic stop on an SUV when one of the two occupants of the vehicle ran from the scene, reports said.
Witnesses told police they saw the man running with a gun in his hands. He may have tossed the gun in the bushes, reports said.
The suspect was taken into custody at a home on Longfellow with the assistance of a Lakeville K9 team.
Police said Niles Police are interested in speaking to the occupants of the SUV, but did not specify why.
