MSP searching for wanted suspect

Michigan State Police are asking for the public's help locating a man who is wanted on a warrant out of St. Joseph County.

MSP and deputies with the Branch County Sheriff's Department attempted to arrest Jeffery James Elliot at a residence in Kinderhook Township on Tuesday.

Instead of stopping, Elliot drove through a garage door and hit a vehicle while fleeing, according to police.

Elliot was seen driving a maroon 2001 GMC pickup truck with license plate EAN1783.
