Michiana has experienced temperatures Wednesday that are more typical for early May, with highs soaring into the middle 60s. In regards to high temperatures, it's all downhill from here, however. Thursday will be cloudy with a chance of showers and storms later in the afternoon and evening. Highs should still make it into the 50s. A few storms that form could be strong to severe, but the bulk of severe activity should stay to our south.
A quick shower can't be ruled out Friday morning, but most of the day is windy and MUCH colder. Temperatures will struggle to get into the 40s, but it will feel like the 20s with wind gusts near 40 mph possible. Winter is back this weekend, with highs near the freezing mark and snow showers likely on Sunday. Some minor snow accumulation (an inch or two) is possible, but major impacts are not expected. The last week of February looks more seasonable than this past week.
