ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Monday, March 9, 2026
Michiana saw record high temperatures Monday as the 70s once again visited the area in early March. The weather should be quiet tonight, with temperatures staying in the 60s this evening under mostly cloudy skies.
Michiana has another shot at severe weather on Tuesday. The morning and early afternoon will be cloudy and very warm, with highs once again near 70. Our chance of storms will start to increase after 6 PM, though a few could form slightly earlier. The earlier that storms form, the more volatile an environment they'll have to work with. All potential severe hazards are on the table, including tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding. The storm threat continues into the overnight hours before rain wraps up around the morning drive Wednesday. Especially given the chance of severe weather after-dark, please make sure you have multiple ways of receiving warnings and your devices charged.
Temperatures turn cooler for the second half of the week, with winter returning along with some chances for snow by early next week.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy and warm. Low 59.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy and very warm. Thunderstorms likely by the evening. Severe weather is possible. High 70.
Wednesday: Rain early, then cloudy and breezy with falling temperatures. High 56, afternoon temperatures near 40.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and closer to normal. High 44.
