More hit-or-miss rain today and a warm weekend ahead

NOW: More hit-or-miss rain today and a warm weekend ahead

Like yesterday, expect slowdowns and delays due to dense fog once again this morning across all of Michiana. Unlike yesterday, however, this fog will clear out quicker and earlier in the morning due to a steadily pacing warm front lifting from central Indiana. A dense fog advisory is in place for all counties in our area until 10 AM EST.  As the front lifts, Michiana can expect scattered showers and even a few isolated thunderstorms from the late morning until the early afternoon today (about 10 AM EST - ½ PM EST). The warmth behind the front pushes our high temperatures to the 70F mark today for the first time this year. After a generally quiet evening, more showers and thunderstorms develop ahead of a sweeping cold front. The entire first half of Saturday for all of Michiana will be soaking, but the second half of the day in addition to Sunday will be somewhat clear with mild temperatures in the low 60s.

Today: Showers. High 70.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Low 60.

Saturday:  AM storms. High 64.

Sunday: Sunny. High 60.
