SOUTH BEND, Ind. – One local community center in South Bend wants to send kids back to school with new clothes – all at a discounted price.
The Monroe Circle Community Center is hosting their 2nd annual Back-to-School Clothing Drive this week.
For just $5 each, parents can get new school clothes for up to 4 children in their family.
The price will get kids in kindergarten through high school at least one whole outfit – with everything from socks and underwear to pants, shirts and jackets. There will also be limited backpacks and shoes available as well.
The money from this drive will go back into the Monroe Circle Community Center, as well as Granger Community Church to be able to host more events like this one in the future.
If you can’t make it out on Monday, the event will continue through Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both days.
Parents are asked to register beforehand, but the community center wants to help as many as possible – so, there are also some spots left for walk-ins.
