BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Mold has been discovered at the Benton Harbor offices of Michigan Works!, causing the organization to move its job fair scheduled for Thursday, from those offices to the Next Level Tech Center on East Main Street.

“Out of an abundance of caution our team at the Benton Harbor Service Center will be moving to remote work until further notice,” said Paul Kirk, Vice President of Workforce at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren. “Additional testing for air quality and the presence of mold will be completed.”

The job fair will still be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren team remains available to answer questions and assist the public and business owners across Southwest Michigan," the organization said. "For in-person assistance, individuals are encouraged to visit the Paw Paw Michigan Works! Service Center, located at 32849 E. Red Arrow Hwy, #100. For virtual assistance, visit www.miworks.org and access the live chat feature or call (269) 927-1799."
