ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. -- A South Bend man is wanted in connection with the murder of Christina Marie Woods, whose body was found in a shallow grave in Minnesota on July 2.
On June 26, St. Joseph County Police requested the assistance of St. Louis County Sheriff's Department with a missing person investigation involving Woods.
She had been reported missing in early June and was believed to have traveled to Minnesota.
On July 2, St. Louis County sheriff's investigators found Woods' body in a shallow grave. The autopsy showed she died of homicidal violence, reports said.
Investigators are seeking 40-year-old Daniel Gregory Lynn of South Bend in connection with Woods' homicide. A warrant has been issued seeking his arrest.
The property where Woods' body was found belongs to a family member of Lynn.
Lynn was seen in the area in the days following the homicide, which is believed to have happened sometime the week of June 11.
Investigators believe he may have returned to Indiana.
