Mishawaka killer's DNA not found in national database

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- It's back to square one for the Mishawaka Police Department.

DNA from the scene of a recent homicide was not found in a national database. This means the person responsible for killing Lois Hickey is still a step ahead of investigators.

Officers found the 84-year-old dead in her East Donaldson Avenue home in late December.

Last week investigators announced the killer's blood was found at the scene.
